When there is more limited installation space, a telescopic linear axis is a suitable solution.
Principle
NTN-SNR’s AXS linear axis feature external parallel guides with ball chain technology. This program is particularly aimed at realizing gantry systems by means of XZ/YZ/XYZ total solutions.
Profile
AXS profiles are characterized by the closed rectangular profiles and are extremely stable/stiff. There are 4 profiles available. These linear axis are particularly suitable for mounting as X/Y axis and can be combined with other linear axis from the AXS program.
Drive element
With a telescopic axis, drive takes place by both a timing belt and rack and pinion. This allows a stroke that is larger than the installation length. The drive takes place simultaneously by a single motor.
The rack and pinion is characterized by high force absorption. Because we adjust the ratchet ex factory, high positioning accuracy is achieved.
Guide
AXS linear axis use surface-mounted rail guides in parallel arrangement. The rail guides are ideally suited for demanding and highly dynamic applications. In addition, low-noise movement is achieved and the product is easy to maintain. In fact, the relubrication interval of the guides with ball chain is approximately 5.000 km (depending on environmental conditions).

In addition to the standard linear axis, a wide program of additional options is also at your disposal. For example, we have a wide program of mounting options, reducers but also, for example, torque shafts and sensors.
