Supply program ball screws

A linear guide consists of a rail and a runner capable of moving a load. The runner is equipped with balls or rollers. In many machines, linear guides are an essential link in absorbing loads and torques. Time and again, they ensure accurate and repeatable positioning – down to the micrometer.

Our product range includes a variety of ball screw types, each designed to meet the specific requirements of your application. By considering the key factors that determine the success of your project, we work together to deliver the optimal linear solution. Our selection includes:

  • Ball screws
  • Planetary roller screws
  • Lead screw nuts
  • Trapezoidal thread screws

Each ball screw type offers a unique combination of characteristics tailored to different application needs

Ball screw

For example, the ball screw offers high efficiency, coupled with exceptional load capacity and accuracy. It also boasts excellent dynamic properties, making it a popular choice across a wide range of machines and industries.

Satellite roller screw manufacturer Rollvis

In a satellite roller screw, cylindrical rollers with wire as the rolling element are used, arranged in a cage. By evenly distributing the satellite rollers around the circumference of the ball screw, the load is spread evenly, reducing friction between the spindle and the nut. The satellite roller screw offers high load capacity, exceptional rigidity, and the ability to handle high speeds. Additionally, they can be manufactured with a very small pitch for high positioning accuracy. Available in both standard steel and stainless steel, satellite roller screws are commonly used in mechanical drives for heavy presses, large valves, spot welding, injection molding, riveting, and steel machinery.

Lead screw nut

In a lead screw nut, the nut moves directly over the thread of the spindle. Due to the friction involved, the lead screw nut offers average efficiency. However, when high positioning accuracy is not a critical requirement, a lead screw nut provides a cost-effective solution for the application.

Trapezoidal thread spindles

In a trapezoidal threaded spindle, both the nut and spindle feature trapezoidal threads, designed for linear movement. While the friction between the nut and spindle results in lower efficiency compared to ball screws, an advantage of trapezoidal thread spindles is their self-locking capability. This makes them particularly well-suited for applications involving the lifting or moving of heavy loads

Production method of screws

A ground screw undergoes a second sharpening process after swirling to achieve even higher accuracy. Another method of screw manufacturing is rolling, which involves cold forming the screw using a rolling tool to create the ball paths. A rolled screw typically offers a screw accuracy of C7, with a tolerance of ±50 µm/300 mm, and is more cost-effective compared to a ground screw.
