The LT and LF spline guides offer high load capacity in both radial and torque directions. The LT series – THK’s most compact ball spline guides – are combined with a cylindrical bushing with keyway to transmit torque. In the LF spline guides, the bushing is designed with a flange for mounting.
Depending on the shaft diameter, the spline shafts feature precisely machined grooves arranged in pairs around the shaft circumference. The recirculating balls of the spline nut roll within these grooves. The ball raceways in the nut result in a 20° contact angle, which provides preload to eliminate rotational play and increase rigidity.
