Shaft and nut ball spline THK

The ball spline THK guides are constructed of a shaft with a nut. The shaft is designed with longitudinal grooves/keyways or lugs. The nut moves along the shaft by means of recirculating ball rows. The balls passing through the grooves or on either side along the lugs prevent the nut from rotating around the shaft.

Ball splines with or without ball chain

The nut can be equipped with either loose balls or a ball chain. The ball chain provides enhanced running performance by preventing point contact between the balls. As a result, the load capacity of guides with a ball chain is higher compared to those with loose balls. Additionally, the lubrication intervals are extended, and the operation becomes quieter.
